How Charlie’s Kitchen Began

Charlotte Kay Jones, was born and raised across the green expanses of Sullivan, MO. She spent her life immersed in the world of plants and wellness. Charlotte began learning about herbalism at a young age, inspired by her botanist grandmother, who walked Charlotte thru fields, woods, and creek sides identifying wild flowers and plants while discussing their medicinal benefits. These experiences led her to pursue studies in Mycology, Nutrition, and Master Herbalism. Charlotte founding Charlie’s Sprouts, LLC, in early 2015 where she turned her passion for plant-based healing into a thriving farm business, supplying wheatgrass, microgreens, and natural products to juice bars, sandwich shops, restaurants and health-conscious communities. Charlotte’s experience with herbs and plants caught the attention of St. Louis University who tapped her as an Adjunct Professor to teach within their Herbal Department; classes in Extractions, Product Production, Labeling and Legality. Then in 2020 when Covid hit, Charlie’s Sprouts, LLC was challenged with higher shipping charges from seed suppliers across the country which increased the cost of wheatgrass and microgreen production and decreased customers due to restaurant menu cutbacks. Determined to continue her goals of natural health thru plants in 2023 Charlotte opened CharliesKitchenstl.com. Today, Charlotte channels her expertise into a new frontier: organic, bio-available, protein and fiber dense, plant-based gummies custom crafted to support wellness through nature. Her mission to increase plant-health awareness, drives her creativity to produce products which will reach the largest audience.
